Easy Mojito Detox Water – Beauty Bites

Yes, an easy mojito detox water recipe, because I’ve been feeling like a raisin lately. Overly sweet and very dehydrated.

And it’s because, even though I feel like I’m living in an oven, I’m not drinking any water. Don’t know why.

My solution: infuse some water, leave it in a fridge and maybe you’ll drink it.

And so I did. It’s super good and very easy to put together.

Now fine, I have had a mojito probably once 10 years ago and didn’t like it. I don’t really know what they put inside, but this water’s pretty straightforward:

Keep your blood sugar stable, stay hydrated and in a good mood by sipping on this easy mojito detox water, it's the perfect summer drink!

I don’t like to infuse water with lemon slices, because I don’t trust the peel. It looks as if it has secrets. But I do trust the mint I’m growing on my own, so I put a whole bunch of it into the water bottle. Did you know mint is pretty much a weed? One nice smelling weed. It’s super easy to grow!

Things To Keep In Mind

If you leave the water in the fridge for over 24 hours, the mint will stop looking fresh. So it will be time to make a new one. Therefore, drink as much as you can.

You can also use carbonated water if you want to serve this as a mocktail. I don’t know what’s a mocktail to be honest with you. My favorite cocktail back when I was getting out of the house was a strawberry colada and I remember something with hazelnut in it. Basically, I liked the ones that give you diabetes and dig holes in your teeth. Not anymore, these days we’re not spending money on sugar.

Benefits

So I had made a whole post about drinking lemon water and its benefits right here. The same benefits apply for this water.

Because you’ll be hydrated and getting some extra vitamin C and all the antioxidants you find in mint (which seem to have anti-obesity properties too), you’ll feel more energized, your skin will look smooth, and you will have a better mood (I am a rapper). Also, lemon juice and apparently, mint too, can help keep your blood sugar stable (source). Which is pretty great, because high blood sugar is linked to so many chronic diseases, not just diabetes. And you’re doing all that with one small change of adding lemon and mint to your water.

I don’t know if I experienced all that, but I think I might have. I’ve been very active lately and doing many of my chores that I’ve been ignoring for months. MONTHS!!! And I’m not even complaining. I’m barely taking naps. And I’m in a pretty good mood. I think the mojito detox water is working.

Maybe it’s the fact that it’s summer and that it’s sunny and the birds are chirping, but who’s counting? Let’s say it’s the water. Try it!
